Bridgett Brown Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bridgett Brown, age 49 of Madison, passed away July 15, 2022, at home with her mother by her side. After she was diagnosed with cancer, Bridgett began painting. She enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, yard sales, and estate sales. Bridgett had a great love for animals, costume jewelry, and the color PURPLE. Preceded in death by her father, John Edwin Brown; special father, Andrew Poteete; uncle, Earl Fikes (Pauline); aunt, Dorene Carr; maternal grandparents, Robert “Bob” and Versie Fikes; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Pearl Brown. She is survived by her mother, who was by her side 24-7, Barbara A. Brown; son, John Guffey “Little John”; great-uncle, Mayford Holt; special cousins, Joy Langford, Tammie Carr and Lee Carr Brown; very special friends, Phil Michal Thomas, Angie Lancaster, Kevin Tarpley, Kim Fosbinder, and Laura Fosbinder; several second cousins, and her beloved cat, Kitty Cat. Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home Saturday, July 23rd, from 4pm until the time of services at 5pm. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, July 24th, at 2pm at McDonald Cemetery in Clay County, TN. The family would like to give special thanks to Kindred Hospice for their care, compassion, and for making Bridgett’s requests possible. On a scale of 1 to 10, they were an 11.
