Linda Sheryl McCracken

Linda Cooper McCracken, affectionately known as "Gaw Gaw" by her beloved grandchildren, passed away peacefully on Friday May 9, 2025, just after sunset at the age of 73. She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence Cooper and Gloria Cooper, her brothers William Cooper and Larry Cooper and son in law Jason Jarvis. She is survived by her daughters Andrea Johnson (David), Becky Howell (Trey) and Sarah Lowe (Josh), grandchildren Billy Howell, Jacob Jarvis, Jackson Lowe, Hayden Johnson, Mason Johnson, Maggie Lowe, Cooper Howell, Olivia Jarvis and Lucy Lowe, brothers Joe Cooper (Renee), Dennis Cooper, sister-in-law Barbara Cooper, all of her nieces and nephews, her Cousin Margaret Watts and best friend Betty Morris. Her departure leaves a void in the lives of all who were touched by her elevated sense of humor and down-to-earth nature. Born and raised with an independent spirit, Linda navigated life with grace and a unique perspective that endeared her to many. Her days often began with a good cup of coffee, a ritual she savored. Linda could often be found dreaming of or visiting the beach with her family, a place where she found peace and joy. Family was the cornerstone of Linda's life. She deeply cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding immense happiness in spending time with her loved ones. Her devotion extended beyond her family to her work as a dedicated employee of T&W Vending Company for many years. Linda also treasured her friendship with her best friend, Betty, and many will fondly remember seeing them riding around together, sharing laughter and adventures. She took pride in her appearance, always ensuring her nails and hair were perfectly done. A keen observer of life, Linda enjoyed the simple pleasure of people-watching, finding fascination and amusement in the everyday happenings around her. To her children, Linda was the perfect example of a mother – a source of unwavering love, support, and guidance. Her memory will forever be etched in their hearts. To honor our mother’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.
