Shirley Jean Long Cotten, Age 82 of Nashville, TN passed away Jan 30, 2021 at her home in East Nashville. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Cotten, Sr.; sister, Betty Joe Long Bolling; brother, Anthony Wayne Long; sister, Linda Marie Long Orman; brother, Terry Lee Long; father, Robert Walter Long; mother, Annie Louise Felts Long. Survived by her daughter, Sherry Cotten (Johnny) Hesson; grandson, John (Brandee) Garrison, Jr.; granddaughter, Brandi Hesson; son, Carl ‘Bubba’ ( Sheila) Cotten, Jr.; grandsons, Adam (Vanessa) Jones and Carl ‘Boo’ Cotten, III; great-grandchildren, John ‘Tree’ E. Garrison, III, Madee Garrison, Ruger Garrison, Aksel Garrison, Niko Cotten, and Amelia Jones; siblings, Patsy Sue ( Burton) Long Smith, Donald ‘Donnie’ Eugene Long, Mildred ‘ Sissy’ Jeanett Long Bean, Deborah ‘Debbie’ (Robert) Ann Long Chatlos, and Frances (Steve) Louise Long Sweeney. Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Rd., on Tues., Feb. 2 from 12-8pm and on Wed. Feb. 3 from 10-12pm, our service will be on Wed., Feb. 3 at 12pm in the chapel. Interment immediately following the service at Spring Hill Cemetery. Everyone in attendance is required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. No food or drink allowed in the facilities at this time.
