Jimmy Lee Brown

Jimmy Lee Brown, age 75 of White House, TN passed away June 9, 2021 in Nashville, TN. He was born in Nashville on August 9, 1945 to Wesley Brown and Mary Starkey Brown. Jimmy retired from Metro Water after 38 years of service and from IATSE Local 46 Stagehands Union after 15 years. In 1974, he joined the Buena Vista Lodge No. 639, F. & A.M., where he became a Mason. He became a Shriners Clown known as “Bobo” with his sidekick “Willy”. He loved spending time with his dogs, fishing and camping and was an avid golfer. He always looked forward to the Shriners Circus each year where he would dress out with all his clown buddies making kids smile. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Jimmy exemplified the scripture, Matthew 22: 37-39: Christ in all things and hopes you find your way to him. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his stepson, Scotty Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Jo D Brown; daughter, Jennie (Gary) Corn; stepchildren, Lisa Hunt and Michelle (Donald) Hay; eight grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Al Menah Shrine Temple, 1354 Brick Church Pike, Nashville, TN 37207. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jimmy’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
