Natural Burials

CERTIFIED GREEN BURIAL PROVIDERby the Green Burial CouncilPhillips-Robinson Funeral Home is proud to be the only funeral home in Middle Tennessee recognized by the Green Burial Council as a certified green burial provider and to offer families the option of natural burial at Larkspur Conservation.  This eco-friendly burial method avoids embalming, metal caskets, and outer burial containers. The body is placed in the grave either in a simple shroud or a biodegradable wicker or wood casket. Conservation burial is natural burial that goes a step further to conserve land. The model calls for a cemetery’s adherence to a number of protocols to ensure that burials do not harm the surrounding ecosystems and facilitate ecological restoration.
